Please see the 2018 Fixtures page for the CTT published events for next season
Impsport have been contacted following the meeting last week to confirm our instruction for them to provide us with our club kit for next year. They are now working ion the visuals and expect to have all the visuals ready in the next few days. We can then ask them to open the 2 week order window which we really must take advantage of due to the very favourable price bracket. I will publish a price list once I have the new one to hand but in the mean time see attached a general price list for reference.Impsport January 2018 Price List

There has been some additional texturing added to the blue which gives it more depth. We are also looking at having two T3 skin suit and T2 jersey designs available. One with the big rear Lincolnshire flag and one without.
A sample jersey front will be made up this week. Nothing confirmed but it might be available to view at the club on Thursday. If not this week (26th), definitely the next (2nd Nov) so please come and have a look.

CLUB KIT – IMP SPORT UPDATE!!!
Further to their visit in September, it was unanimously agreed at the last committee meeting to use Imp Sport again as our Club Kit provider.
The updated design will be published here for any comments ahead of it going to production in a few weeks. They are generously offering a significant discount on the clubs first order which will effectively allow us to purchase at the lowest price bracket usually only offered for orders of over 100 garments.
For those club members that didn’t manage to get to the Imp Sport night you are very welcome to head over to Lincoln to view the range in their showroom and try some samples on. Please call them direct to arrange and try and tie in with other club members where possible.
For those that did see the range I know we all shared the same view that the design and quality of their clothing range is very very good.
So watch this space, feel free to add any suggestion that you think will improve the design and hopefully in a week or two we will have the order window open. Then please raid your piggy banks and take advantage of this introductory offer to update you cycling wardrobe’
A Message from the Lake District!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dear Alford Wheelers Cycling Club,
I am writing from Derwentwater Independent Hostel (Barrow House), where I work with several other like-minded people who love cycling, running, climbing, wild swimming and various other outdoor activities. We really enjoy welcoming fellow outdoor enthusiasts to Derwentwater, and I thought you might be interested in organising a trip away for your club.
In the past year our guests have included City of Lancaster Triathlon Club and One Life Racing (a wide mix of ages and abilities), Cumbernauld Athletics Club (70 of their young members, who all took part in Keswick Parkrun!), and many people on the C2C Cycle Route. We certainly have lots of experience of providing healthy home made food for hearty appetites!
Even a short stay seems to help people get to know each other and feel rejuvenated, and there are lots of events in and around Keswick if you want a particular focus. For instance, the annual Fred Whitton and Jennings Rivers Rides go past our door in October, and the closest time trial course to the hostel is L1010 (10 miles, flat). So please get in touch if you have any questions: we really enjoy sharing our local knowledge and helping groups organise a visit.
In the meantime, I have attached a brief information poster, and you can find lots more information about the hostel on our website www.derwentwater.org
We also have a fund for subsidising youth groups, so if you want to organise a residential specifically for juniors, please let us know.Best wishes,Katy Moore (DIH Education Officer and keen Keswick AC member!)

P.S The C2C Cycle Route is only two miles from the hostel. There are excellent off-road trails in Whinlatter Forest, 7 miles from the hostel, and the Monster Miles event takes place every October, starting from Keswick. There is a new BMX/mountain bike track in Fitz Park in Keswick, with berm corners, step-ups, rollers, doubles, triples, and more challenging jumps.

PLEASE NOTE: FROM NOW ON, NO PARKING OR TOILETS AT BILSBY HOUSE, as it has been sold and is now a private house. PARK IN TOWN AND RIDE OUT TO BILSBY. CYCLING TIME TRIALS have issued a strong recommendation that all riders should have a rear light attached and working when riding Time Trials. Our Club specified that this should happen in all our Club Events, but we still have riders that are ignoring this advice. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE COMPLYING WITH THIS RECOMMENDATION. It can be flashing or constant and must be able to be seen clearly during daylight hours.
